The prices are so low since you’re shopping the brand’s older collections. Some people even make it into a whole day, especially going to Woodbury Common Outlet.

Woodbury Common Outlet – Absolute best outlet in NYC

Century 21 – Just reopened!

The New York outlet store Centrury 21 has been my go-to and favorite outlet mall for years but they sadly went bankrupt and closed down their amazing Cortlandt Street store during covid and have been closed for the past three years. The good news is that they just reopened again! Century 21 is a multi-story building in the Financial District where you could shop the most amazing designer and smaller brands for a discounted price.

How to get there:

To get to Century 21 in the Financial District you can take the subway lines A C J Z 2 3 4 5 to Fulton St, the R W to Courtland St, or the 1 E to World Trade Center.

The Mills at Jersey Gardens

The Mills at Jersey Garden is another outlet close to New York City. This mall is a little closer to the city which some people prefer. Here you can explore over 200 stores and it’s indoors (which is great if it’s raining one day). This mall has both discounted outlet stores and regular stores.

How to get there:

You need to take a bus to get there from Port Authority called NJ Transit Bus 111 or 115. The bus takes around 30-45 min and normally a little longer on the way home because of traffic.

Empire Outlets

Empire Outlets is one of the closest to the city and is located on Staten Island. Here you can find big brands like Banana Republic, Gap, and Nordstrom Rack but also some cool small businesses.

Empire Outlets also has plenty of options when it comes to food. Here you can find great coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, and even a brewery.

How to get there:

Since Empire Outlets is located on Staten Island you can get there using public transportation. Take the subway to Staten Island Ferry which will take you over to Staten Island. Once you get there, you only have a three minute walk to get to Empire Outlets. You can read more about how to get around in New York here.
