One World Trade Center is 1,776 ft (541 m) and 1,792 ft tall if you include the antenna and is the tallest building in New York. The observations deck One World Observatory is located on the 102nd floor and will give you a breathtaking view of New York City and more.
One World Trade Center has a total of 104 floors and the observation deck is located on floors 100, 101, and 102.
To get to One World Observatory you’ll take one of their very fast elevators. The elevator will take you to the top floor in only 47 seconds while you can watch a time laps video of the transformation of New York City from the 1600s to today.
The Twin Towers and the construction of the new building
One World Trade Center is located right next to where the Twin Towers once stood. It took around 2 years to clean up what was left of the buildings after the attack on September 11, 2001.
They held a design competition on who should design the new building. The winner of the competition was David Childs who designed One World Trade Center together with Daniel Libeskind. The construction of One World Trade Center started in 2006 and was finished in 2015.
The base (not counting the antenna) of One World Trade Center is actually the same height as the old buildings which was 1776 feet. The number 1776 represents the year of the Declaration of Independence.
